Tina Gordon Heads To Kansas 07-03-03
Tina Gordon and her team are looking forward to a good run this weekend in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 in Kansas City. This will be Gordon's first run at the 1.5 mile track and she is very pumped about the weekend. "Of course Kansas is another new track for me and I am just glad to be getting to go," said Gordon. "I love getting experience and seat time on a new track and we are all really looking forward to a great weekend." Team owner Shelly Brevak also has high hopes for this weekend's race. "We didn't race at Kansas last year but I've heard a lot of good things about the facility and am looking forward to the weekend," said Brevak. "I'm sure Tina will adapt quickly as she always does." Crew chief Todd Myers is hoping for some relief from the heat that plagued him during his last trip to Kansas Speedway. "I'm looking forward to going back to Kansas and hoping it isn't too hot," said Myers. "The last trip there it was 113 degrees with ninety-eight percent humidity." Myers feels confident about getting Gordon back on a 1.5 mile track and thinks they should post a good finish this weekend. After the first nine races of the season, Gordon is currently 21st in overall points and fourth in rookie points.
