Cedar Bluff’s Tina Gordon had a rough exit last Saturday in the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA.
On lap 46, Gordon spun off Turn 2 and slid into the path of Rick Crawford and Hank Parker Jr. on the backstretch.
Crawford hit Gordon, who then hit Hank Parker Jr.
All of the injured were transported to Atlanta Medi-cal Center, with Gordon suffering a fractured right fibula, swollen left ankle and bloody nose.
Gordon expects to recover in time for the April 17 Martinsville (VA) 200.
Gordon finished 35th in the field of 36th and now stands 30th in the points standings after two races with 149 points, 187 points behind leader Carl Edwards.
Gordon was 23rd in the points heading into the Atlanta event
