Food City 250 Post Race Notes 08-29-04 Jimmy Spencer comments on incident at Bristol: (From Inside Nextel Cup) While viewing footage of Biffle / Gordon incident.. Jimmy: Biffle should be parked for this, this is just rediculous what he (biffle) does to this girl, I'm glad that it happened to him, I don't think he was right for what he did there. She was a lapped car & she was trying to give way, yeah she was slow but he had full intentions of wrecking her and he did. I can't believe Nascar didn't do anything about that. Greg Biffle took out his frustrations on the rear bumper of Tina's #39 Ford wrecking Martin Truex Jr and himself at the same time. Truex was clearly irritated after the race. Truex:"It's pretty frustrating," he said. "I guess Biffle was (mad) and decided to wreck somebody, and it was a tough break." Biffle’s Quotes: “It’s Bristol and that’s about all you can say. That deal was partly my fault because I thought I had cleared that lapped car and probably came down just a little to early. I think that was about the fourth time we had passed that car in the first 20 laps and it shouldn’t have even been out there. It’s not safe for cars to be that slow because we come up on them so fast and it’s hard to judge exactly what they’re going to do. What’s done is done though and there is nothing we can do about it now. “Before the accident I really think we had a car we could contend for the win with. It was very comfortable to drive and I hadn’t even had to push it yet. I wish we could’ve been around for the end to possibly make it exciting. Maybe next time.”
